Geisinger providing better health at the Bloomsburg Fair
As a Diamond Sponsor of the annual event, Geisinger will offer fairgoers plenty of ways to improve their health during the 167th Bloomsburg Fair.
The path to better health will start right at the entrance to the fair this year. Those entering at gates 3 or 5 can pick up a Geisinger bag, along with the chance to add more goodies as they make their way through the fair. Once they have their bag, fairgoers can follow markers throughout the fairgrounds to collect Geisinger goodies at stops along a one-mile route.
Geisinger’s Go Team will be inside Gate 5 providing information on steps we all can take to make better health decisions.
Anyone age 6 months and older can take advantage of free flu shots from Geisinger in the Arts and Crafts Building. While at the booth, fairgoers can learn more about their healthcare coverage options and Geisinger’s MyCode® Community Health Initiative, a DNA databank that’s changing healthcare for the better. The Geisinger booth also offers a private breastfeeding room with a changing station.
The Geisinger Life Flight® team will also be on site from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 29. Fairgoers can learn about the lifesaving program, meet some crew members, and take a tour of a helicopter and its ground critical care unit.
All Geisinger activities, including flu shots, will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 26, and running through Sept. 30.
