SCRANTON – The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) has invited Sarah Triano, MS, director of the Center for Learning Excellence at Geisinger College of Health Sciences, to speak at its annual Learn Serve Lead conference in November.

The conference is a premier educational event for the academic medicine community.

Triano will serve on a panel discussing the Clinical Accommodations Guide for Undergraduate Medical Education, a resource that addresses barriers medical students with disabilities face during clinical training.

The guide features 75 accommodations, organized by clinical task and barrier. Panelists will share key insights, real-world examples and strategies to implement the accommodations, in spite of limited resources, costs and other institutional challenges.

Learn Serve Lead will take place Nov. 1 – 5 in San Antonio.
