Population-based cohort study published

Exposure to epidural analgesia during labor did not show a link to a later diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a population-based cohort study published April 19 in JAMA Pediatrics. The results are important but not surprising, said Dr. Scott M. Myers, a neurodevelopmental pediatrician and associate professor at the Autism & Developmental Medicine Institute at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton.
