CFPA 101
CFPA 101: Fundamental concepts for undergraduate clinical faculty and preceptors
This course is asynchronous and self-paced, consisting of 6 course modules. There is no requirement for predetermined lecture or activity times, and course modules can be completed over several days or weeks, up to 3 months from the date of enrollment. Assessments of learning are embedded throughout the course modules, with brief tests of knowledge before and after completion of each module. The course culminates in 3 short capstone assignments. Through interactive learning activities and strategies, CFPA 101 translates knowledge and concepts into action, providing a distinct toolkit of techniques to use in the role of preceptor and/or clinical faculty member for undergraduate students. These learning opportunities prepare nurses for the role of clinical nurse educator using an evidence-based approach to teaching and learning.
