Christopher M. Haggerty, PhD
Research Interests
Dr. Haggerty co-directs the Cardiac Imaging Technology Laboratory in Geisinger’s Department of Imaging Science and Innovation, and is passionate about translational research that improves the care of patients with heart disease. With a background in biomechanics and medical imaging, his current research is focused on the integration of cardiac function and clinical genetics: using imaging to quantify the structure and function of the heart in patients with genetic risk factors for heart disease. This multi-disciplinary work spans a range of approaches, from direct patient engagement through Geisinger’s Return of Results program to the development of machine learning and statistical models of the heart from Geisinger’s imaging archives.Recent Publications
