Geisinger publishes policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations that govern the expected roles and responsibilities of our students.
This information contains the most current information available. However, this is neither a contract nor an offer to enter into a contract. We reserve the right to modify, deviate from or make exceptions to the provisions of the handbook at any time, and to apply any modifications, or make such deviation or exception applicable to any student, without regard to date of application, admission or enrollment. We reserve the right to interpret the meaning of all rules and regulations and make the final decision in all cases. Every student is responsible for knowledge of the regulations and information, as well as for any changes we make. This website supersedes all previous editions of the student bulletin.
GSON Holistic Review Statement
The Geisinger School of Nursing Admissions Committee reviews applications holistically. Evaluation criteria include, but are not limited to, the applicant’s experiences, attributes, academic metrics, competencies, and alignment with the mission and values of Geisinger College of Health Sciences (GCHS). Such a review allows the Admissions Committee to ensure that students accepted to GCHS undergraduate programs demonstrate a multifaceted congruence with GCHS and are those most likely to succeed academically and fulfill our mission.
